Game Design Student Showcase – Gus Klaverkamp

Gus Klaverkamp is a student in the Post-High Game Design cohort. He’s creating a simple but challenging puzzle game called “Dice Tower,” in which you need to make all three blue dice have the same orientation as the green die!

The inspiration came while he was playing Warhammer and seeing D6 (6-sided) dice stacked together, then figuring out that he could create a new puzzle game out of it.

With all assets, animations, and visuals made from scratch, Gus is satisfied with how everything has come together. With only a few more tweaks and bug fixes to go through, “Dice Tower” is almost finished!

All of this comes with the support of Jeff Santos from CBC Kids and mentorship from Ubisoft Winnipeg.
