Registration for Game On 2019 opens today

A Celebration of Game Design, Interactive Media & Coding in Manitoba

Game On is a two-day celebration of techno-creative skills for all students of Manitoba.  Join us for a collaborative game jam to learn coding, prototyping, game design and art from local and national industry leaders.  Students will be challenged to create their own game while applying project management skills such as critical thinking, collaborating, communication, and creativity.

Registration Information:

  • Opens on October 1 and closes on December 1, 2018
  • Each school is permitted 3 teams of 3 students (or nine individual students) accompanied by a teacher chaperone.
  • Additional teams will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Complete all required registration information in the online registration form
  • This event is free, there is no cost for registration and food will be provided. Please advise us of food allergies upon registration.
  • Game On will occur on January 31, 2019 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) & February 1, 2019 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) at Sisler High School.

  • 9:45 – Students assigned to rooms and snacks provided
  • 9:50 – Training Workshops
  • 10:50 – Game On Begins
  • 12:00 – 1:00 Rotating Lunch Break
  • 1:00 – Game Jam continues

Friday, February 1, 2019

  • 9:10 – Game Jam continues
  • 11:40 – Game Jam concludes and judging commences
  • 11:50 – Lunch and Industry Showcase in Cafeteria
