FineSpline is a play on words, referring to “splining” which is a term used when polishing a 3D animation in the graph editor.
Ben Sanders has been animating in the film and game industries the past 11 years. After graduating from Vancouver Film School in 2005, he started his career journey by working for Blue Sky, followed by DNA Productions, then Animal Logic, ILM, Rhythm & Hues, Weta, back to ILM, MPC, back to Weta, and finally at Zynga.
At the age of 26, Ben holds the record as the youngest person in history to contribute to 3 Academy Awards. At the age of 27 he also holds the record for youngest person to contribute to 7 Academy Award nominations.
Following his career in film, Ben decided to learn about the industry of games and business by joining Zynga. During his time at the company, he started a live streaming channel on Twitch, which led to the current ambition of making a short film with the community.
